Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Since its inception on January 19, 2019, Smiley Children Society has remained steadfast in its mission to improve the lives of children through education, community engagement, and social responsibility. Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the non-profit organization has steadily expanded its reach across Andhra Pradesh, implementing initiatives that aim to make quality education more accessible for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
With its headquarters in Mandapeta and branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District), Smiley Children Society has developed a community-centered approach that brings together volunteers, educators, parents, and local institutions to address educational challenges at the grassroots level.
One of the organization’s flagship initiatives involves assisting children in securing admission to government schools. Volunteers actively identify children who are out of school, counsel parents about the long-term benefits of education, and assist with the documentation and admission process. These efforts have simplified school enrollment for many families and encouraged greater participation in formal education.
The initiative has earned appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who praised the volunteers for their commitment and acknowledged the leadership of Founder Prudhvi Moses in promoting educational awareness within local communities.
“Our vision is to ensure that every child has an opportunity to learn, regardless of financial limitations. Education is the strongest investment we can make in a child’s future, and our volunteers are committed to helping families overcome barriers that prevent children from attending school,” said Prudhvi Moses.
Beyond school admissions, Smiley Children Society continues to support students through its free evening tuition program in Angara. The initiative provides additional academic coaching, concept clarification, homework support, and examination guidance for children who require extra assistance outside regular classroom hours.
To complement its educational services, the organization also serves free dinner to children attending the tuition classes. This initiative recognizes the close relationship between nutrition and academic performance while providing meaningful financial relief to families facing economic hardship.
The society is equally committed to strengthening early childhood education. During educational events and community discussions, Prudhvi Moses has advocated for introducing creative and activity-based teaching methods in Anganwadi centres. He believes that storytelling, educational games, visual learning aids, and hands-on classroom activities can make learning more enjoyable and encourage children to develop a lifelong interest in education.
Supporting this vision, Smiley Children Society regularly contributes educational materials, classroom equipment, and learning resources to schools that embrace innovative teaching practices.
As the organization continues to expand its educational outreach and volunteer network, it remains focused on creating sustainable social impact through education, child welfare, and community collaboration. By empowering children with knowledge, guidance, and opportunity, Smiley Children Society continues to work toward building stronger communities and a brighter future across Andhra Pradesh.
